Tackle Football
Program Overview
Our AYF Tackle Football Program is designed to teach athletes the fundamentals of tackle football in a structured, competitive, and
safety-first environment. Following
American Youth Football (AYF) rules and guidelines, the program emphasizes proper technique, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. This program supports players of all experience levels—from first-time tackle athletes to those preparing for middle school football—while prioritizing player development and long-term success.
Age & Weight Divisions
Teams are organized according to AYF age and weight-based divisions to promote fair competition and player safety.
Typical divisions may include:
- 6U Tackle Football – Introduction to contact with strong emphasis on fundamentals and safety
- 8U Tackle Football – Continued skill development and controlled contact
- 10U Tackle Football – Expanded playbooks and positional responsibilities
- 12U Tackle Football – Advanced fundamentals and preparation for middle school football
Final division placement is determined by AYF certification, weigh-ins, and roster sizes.
